1 of My Favorite Pass Times (Movies)

One of my favorite things to do in my  downtime is to go  to the movie theater. I love seeing the new movies when they first come out and going with a friend or love one always make the movie just a little bit better. 

The pictures above were taken at  the new  AMC Lowes Theater in Fresh Meadows Queens. Many of the AMC theaters have started to remodel and incorporate recliner seats. I must say... the upgrade is great and the new structure and designs, gives viewers ample seating and arm room.Another cool feature is arm rest that can be raised and turned into a double recliner love seat. 

Finally, the most important feature is at the snack bar where there are a lot of cool popcorn and drink deals. My favorite deal is the large popcorn and drink which comes with free refills.I love this deal but since I'm a movie head, I tend to try my hardest not to leave my seat during the movie so that I will not miss any of the movie. Because of this, I usually  refill my popcorn and drink on my way out so that I can enjoy my snack on the car ride home.If your out on date or have some extra time its a nice little carry snack for you and your partner.Check out AMC Lowes at www.amctheatres.com/

Getting Healthy and Eating Healthy

For the past couple of months I've taken a strong interest in getting in shape and making better food choices. One of the things I do daily is my strick workout regimen that consist of calisthenics. While i'm gaining weight, I want to ensure that I'm building muscle. I try to work out twice  a day but i mix up my routine by playing basketball every other day. Check out Pictures below!

Another thing that I have incorporated into my regimen is drinking wheatgrass shouts 3-4 times a week. There are a lot of benefits to drinking wheatgrass shots but most importantly I see the difference it has made in my body. Wheatgrass provides energy, stamina, and other added benefits. Ralph's Italian Ices

This is how i'm cooling out this summer! Ralph's Italian Ices are some of the best Ices to eat on really hot days or any day!. Ralph's is a staple in NY and if you never heard about Ralph... you better stop and grab one the next time you pass by a Ralph's location. Just beware that since the Ices are so good... the lines my be extermely long! Check out picture below!

Ralph's offers over 150m flavors but my favorite is the chocolate. Ralph's also offers ice cream and milkshakes so check out a Ralph's location!

SPICY SHRIMP AND GRITS

I love Seafood and breakfast so Shrimp and Grits is one of my favorite meals to make. It's the tye of meal that you can make or eat any time of the day. What I love about making this dish is that fact that is easy and can be made to fit your taste. I have serveral versions of Shrimp and Grits but my favorite is the spicy verison which is shown above.

Ingredients

• Quakers 5 minute Quick Grits 
• 1 Pound of devained Shrimp 
• Salt
• Black Pepper
• Seasoning salt or Mrs.Dash Seasoning

Grits Recipe 

• 1 cup of Quick Grits 
• 1 1/2 cup of water 
• 1 1/2 cup of milk
• 1/2 cup of chedder cheese
• Salt, to tatste
• Black pepper, to taste

Chicago Part:4 Wedding Day

My big cousin tied the knot and hosted a beautiful wedding at the the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum in Chicago. We enjoyed good food and fun as we watched the happy couple celebrate their union. Check out pictures of the Wedding day below.

Chicago Part:2

Check out pictures of my Chicago trip! Chicago is a beautiful city and has a lot of great attractions. While I was in Chicago I was able to learn about the history of the Windy City. The midwest is far more interesting than I thought it would be..

Shout out to Platinum Studio for hooking me up with this design. It was my first design. I decided to do something different for Chicago. Although i was in Chicago i still wanted to bring a little New york flavor with me on my trip. so i stopped by my barber and asked him to make me different. 

While on my trip I was able to take a boat ride around the city.the boat ride gave me the opportunity to learn a little about Chicago's history and archaeology.the boat ride also gave me the time to meet a few new people and engage in interesting conversations, which where mostly tourist like myself  The pictures above are views from the boat ride.

Why is Chicago known as the Windy City? 

Most people think that the Windy City refers to the high winds and cool weather Chicago is known for. However, the nickname the Windy City came from a snide remark from a New York based Journalist that was tired of hearing how beautiful and how facinating Chicago had become since the fire the great Chicago fire.So being called the Windy City is more of a snide remark than a favorable characteristic.

Why is Chicago known as the 2nd City? 

Most people are unaware of that the City of Chicago today is know as the second city. The name came about after the Great Chicago fire after more than half of the city was burnt down by a fire that started in a barn. Chicago natives believe that the fire was the best thing that happend to the city because the city now has a great depth of culture and a ton of beautiful bulidings that were built to showcase the beauty of Chicago.

This past weekend I traveled to the Windy City to celebrate my cousins nuptials. This was my first time visiting Chicago and I must say it is an amazing city that is rich in culture, food, and fun. I stayed at the Palmer House Hilton. It's a beautiful Hotel in the heart of downtown Chicago. The Palmer House Hilton is in a prime location beacuse it's close to all the major tourist attractions, resturants and big name stores.
